Children are the foundation of tomorrow! This implies that children therefore have to be at the forefront of all interventions whether environmental or otherwise for they will be the most affected lot tomorrow because of the decisions that are made today. For this reason, Tree Adoption Uganda joined forces with Phoenix Children Foundation to implement an Environment School's Project geared towards empowering the teachers and the learners to know more about their environment, what threatens the very existence of it and in what way can they make it a safe haven for all.
This project officially kicked off in February, 2024 and targeted a total of three schools that is: Off-Tu Education Center, Blue Light Primary School and King David Education Center, all based in Mukono District. The project activities included environmental eduaction for both the learners and their teachers as well as tree planting. In the first part of the implementation of the project, great dividends have been realised already.
